About Us

The Longnor Benefice is a gathering of six churches in a very rural part of north Staffordshire, where the Peak District meets the Moorlands.  It includes the villages of Longnor, Warslow, Quarnford, Sheen, Newtown, Elkstone, Reapsmoor, and Hollinsclough, as well as numerous hamlets. The Longnor Family Group consists of four Churches

  • St. Bartholomew’s in Longnor
  • St. Paul’s in Quarnford
  • St. Luke’s in Sheen
  • St. Paul’s in Newtown.

Part of the Church of England in the Lichfield Diocese, we work together, sharing one Vicar (however we are currently interregnum), and supporting each other as we seek to be the People of God. Usually there is a service each Sunday and on Holy Days at one church in the Family Group.

Please remember that adverse weather conditions can mean services get cancelled at short notice.
