Rogation 2024
Twenty-seven of us took part in our 2024 Rogation Pilgrimage. It was wonderful to be joined by Bishop Michael and his wife Julia for our walk – and the weather was very kind to us. Our route took us from St. Luke’s church in Sheen to St. Bartholomew’s in Longnor, via Pilsbury Castle, and we stopped four times for prayers.
After our walk, Bishop Michael and Rev John Baines celebrated Holy Communion at which we were joined by a goodly number of parishioners. After the service we shared a delicious picnic lunch with (certainly in my case) copious cups of reviving tea. Many thanks to all who contributed to a very enjoyable occasion, and special thanks to Pam and Chris for their sorting out of the route and as walk leaders.
