A baptism, sometimes called a Christening, is a service where promises are made to live life as a Christian.
Often the promises are made by Godparents on behalf of a baby, but, if the person to be baptised is old enough, then they make the promises for themselves.
Baptisms may take place at any of the seven churches in the benefice. It is important to get in touch in plenty of time, because baptism dates are limited.
