Thank you to all who attended the service of closure for Reapsmoor Church on Sunday 19th October.

The service was led by the Rev Dr Megan Smith, the Archdeacon of Stoke on Trent, along with the Bishop of Stafford, Bishop Matthew Parker. It was wonderful to see the Church so full again. The service was lovely and had a time of reflection where memories were shared of past services and events held there. We had a beautiful version of
Amazing Grace sung for us by Lizzie Hallam. Lizzie shared her memories of Reapsmoor before singing for us. We had refreshments afterwards downstairs in the school room where more memories were shared over a cuppa and some food. The afternoon was lovely.

So, thank you to all the ladies and gents that supplied the food, all who helped in getting ready and cleaning up afterwards and to Ged for playing for us. Without you all this would not have been  possible.

Thank you too to all the people who have tirelessly supported Reapsmoor over the years, all the people who have been the backbone of our Churches, Thank you to you all.

This was a sad event, as is anything when we have to say goodbye. But as Bishop Matthew pointed out in his sermon, Reapsmoor still is a worshiping community and there is no shortage of Churches in the family group of Longnor or in our wider Deanery.
